Ups and Downs of Running a small Business

Building a business can be very tough at times, but if you relly want it, really, really want it you can have it. It will seem on many occasions like the worst decision you ever made, but at other times it will seem like the best one you ever made. I think one of the most important things needed is family support, without this it will be an uphill struggle and a very lonely one at that. You must surround yourself with positive people such as successful business people, because they will always be positive and will be happy to help you through the worst times. Get to know your bank manager as he can give you good financial business advice when you need it. I started my business 4 years ago and i can honestly say everyday is a challange in many different ways, but I wouldn't change a thing. I still run my business and have just started another. I am going to record every day of my business life (Monday to Saturday) for you to follow. Come with me on my Journey, warts and all. My business so far; Kingswood was 4 year old on 2nd June 2009. I started it from scratch without any customers, no experience and no idea of what I was doing! We now have 9 staff and are trying everything we can to make sure we get through this recession. I feel this will be a good opportunity to grow this year if I stay positive which I am.
